Introduction

If you're traveling from Prague to Innsbruck via Munich and Garmisch, your route will take you through a beautiful high plateau around the town of Seefeld – a popular center for both winter and summer sports.

On the southwestern edge of this plateau - at a point where the road sharply descends into the Inn Valley - lies the village of Mösern. Right in its center, next to the church, stands a small hotel with eight apartments, offering a spectacular view of the Tyrolean three-thousand-meter peaks. Seefeld Olympic Region

In 1964 and 1976, when the Winter Olympic Games took place in Innsbruck, Seefeld hosted several competitive disciplines – cross-country skiing, ski jumping, biathlon, and Nordic combined events. Since then, the entire plateau has proudly been tagged as the Olympiaregion Seefeld.

Winter activities:

For cross-country skiing enthusiasts, Seefeld is a renowned paradise. The total length of trails groomed for both classic and skating styles reaches an incredible 279 kilometers.

A 3-kilometer-long illuminated trail for evening and night cross-country skiing stretches from Mösern to Seefeld.

In the immediate vicinity, there are 48 km of groomed slopes in the ski areas of Gschwandtkopf and Rosshütte.

It takes about forty-five minutes to an hour by car from Mösern to major ski resorts like Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Kühtai, Zillertal, and Sölden.

Within the Olympic venue, several luge tracks and ice rinks are also available, suitable for skating, playing hockey, or curling.

Summer activities:

  • mountain hiking along the ridges of the Karwendel Mountains
  • cycling (trails along the Inn or Isar rivers, downhill mountain biking)
  • via ferratas and rock climbing
  • rafting on the Isar River
  • golf at the 18-hole Seefeld-Wildmoos course

Just a few minutes of comfortable walk from the apartment, you can find the Möserer See, a lake that is up to 11 meters deep and is one of the warmest bathing lakes in Tyrol.

In Seefeld, you will find the unique Olympia wellness center, featuring a sauna world, whirlpools, and several pools with amazing views of the surrounding Alpine panorama.
